Education Course and Instructor Approval


General Information

If you would like to offer approved courses to meet the educational requirements for licensure or continuing education under chapter 645A and 645F of NRS, you must apply to and be approved by the Division of Mortgage Lending before offering any courses. To assist you in the application process, please reference the Education Manual for Providers and Instructors.

Providers

A provider must apply to the Commissioner annually, on or before December 31st, using the application form below. Please note that in order to be processed, an application must be submitted and must be complete with all requested information and attachments. Incomplete Applications will not be processed.

Course Approval and Forms

In addition, providers must submit an application for the approval of each course that the provider intends to offer. There are two separate course applications – one application for a distance education course and another application for a live instruction course. Please reference the Education Manual for Providers and Instructors for guidance.

Instructors

Each course must have an approved instructor who meets the qualifications set forth by NAC 645A.135 and NAC 645F.565. An instructor must have written approval from the Commissioner before teaching an approved course. In order to be processed, the application below must be submitted and must be complete with all requested information and attachments. Incomplete applications will not be processed. No retroactive approval for instructors will be granted.
