Education for Mortgage Lending and Related Professionals


Any covered service provider, foreclosure consultant or loan modification consultant as defined in NRS 645F is required to fulfill certain requirements under NAC 645F.

    Education for Initial Licensure

    Any applicant for an initial license as a covered service provider must complete at least 25 hours of pre-licensing education in approved courses from the subjects set forth in NAC 645F.500. (external link)
     
    Any applicant for an initial license as a foreclosure consultant must complete at least 20 hours of pre-licensing education in approved courses from the subjects set forth in NAC 645F.500.
     
    Any applicant for an initial license as a license as a loan modification consultant must complete at least 15 hours of pre-licensing education in approved courses from the subjects set forth in NAC 645F.500.

      Education for Continuation of Licensing

      To satisfy the requirements for continuing education provided for in NAC 645F.505 a licensee must complete, during the 12 months immediately preceding the date on which his or her license expires at least,

      10 hours of approved courses of continuing education if licensee is a covered service provider.
      7 hours of approved courses of continuing education if licensee is a foreclosure consultant.
      5 hours of approved courses of continuing education if licensee is a loan modification consultant.

      The required continuing education coursework can be accessed through any of the approved escrow and loan modification education courses.
